I went with this super simple Power Supply Unit from Frequency Central based on the tip by LMNC. The PSU was a massive stumbling block in my first attempts at building a modular. It was shrouded in mystery and came with all sorts of warnings about playing with electricity. While I'm comfortable with mains power from doing wiring in a house, the whole split rail thing and the need to figure out transformers meant I was reluctant to build and buying one seemed like a big expense for what is admittedly a weird toy. The FC Power unit is easy safe and cheap, and I like all those things. The needed wall wart is a bit pesky to find, but Soundtronics carries one.
